Dr. Shelly Gibbs is a native of Little Rock and lived here until college. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a major in Biology in 2006. From there she moved to Little Rock for one year and worked as a bank teller until she decided to pursue her medical career. She moved to Guadalajara, MX for the first 2 years of her medical school training and then moved to Atlanta, GA where she finished up her Medical Degree from Ross University College of Medicine in 2012.
She then went on to complete her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2016. She moved back to Little Rock, AR in July 2016 and she has been a practicing OBGYN since. Dr. Gibbs is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the Arkansas and Pulaski County Medical Associations and American Medical Association. She became Vice chief (2022 & 2023) and in 2024 she became Chief of Baptist Medical Center of OBGYN governance group.
During her time at the U of A she was a cheerleader from 2012-2016 and to this day she is a HUGE Razorback fan. Being away from work she loves being active outside, going to the lake, playing board games, and reading books. She loves spending time with her husband (Cody Dillon) and her fur babies (Tux & Squirrel), as well as family and friends.
